Description:

Approximately 4,515-acres await visitors to this multi-use recreation area in Kenosha County. The recreation area offers traditional outdoor activities as well as unique opportunities. Dog training, model airplanes, rocketry and falconry co-exist with rare species and habitats.

    All other sites are closed when off reservations.

    Waterfowl hunting on Wolf Lake begins the end of September and runs through early December. The campground and surrounding area are not in danger, but campers may hear gunshots. Dove hunting runs from September 1 - October 31. Pheasant hunting runs from mid October through December 31.

    Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for cost of the sticker. All vehicles and wheeled units must be parked on the gravel pad. Will the driveway length accommodate your vehicle (maximum 2 vehicles per site) and your camping unit? Overflow parking is available. Reservations cannot be cancelled online.

    Richard Bong State Recreation Area is located in western Kenosha County approximately 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee and 9 miles east of Burlington. The entrace is on Hwy 142, 1 mile west of Hwy 75.

    From Milwaukee or Chicago, take the Hwy 142 exit from I-94. Go west 9 miles to the park entrance.

    From Madison, follow I-90 to Janesville; exit onto Hwy 14 East. Follow Hwy 14 east to Hwy 11 East. Take Hwy 11 east into Burlington to Hwy 142. Follow Hwy 142 east from Burlington, 9 miles, to the park entrance.
